Panel and service upgrades on Maui.
100A, 200A and 400A service upgrades and panel replacements: the foundation for solar, EV charging, additions and a safe house.
Older Maui homes often need new service before anything else.
Plenty of Maui homes still run on undersized service or aging panels that can’t safely carry modern loads, let alone solar, a battery, an EV charger or an addition.
A service upgrade brings the house up to current code and gets it ready for whatever comes next. We handle the Maui Electric disconnect and reconnect as part of the job.

- Service too small for solar, EV or an addition
- Outdated or recalled panels (FPE, Zinsco and similar)
- No breaker spaces left for new circuits
- Burnt bus bars, double-tapped breakers, deferred safety issues
- Older homes that need modern grounding and bonding
- 100A to 200A residential service upgrade
- Service upgrade required before solar interconnection
- Panel replacement for EV charger or heat-pump load
- Commercial service upgrades for tenant improvements
- Room to grow for additions and ADUs

Straight answers.
Do I need a 200A service?
It depends on your load. We size the service from what your home uses now and what you plan to add. Too small limits you later; too big wastes money.
Do you coordinate the HECO service drop?
Yes. We coordinate the disconnect, upgrade and reconnect with Maui Electric as part of the project.
Do I need to upgrade my panel before solar or an EV charger?
Often, but not always. It depends on your panel’s rating, the code limit on how much solar it can take, and your existing load.
How long does a panel upgrade take?
Most residential service and panel upgrades are done in 1–2 working days, plus inspection and Maui Electric reconnect scheduling.
Will I be without power?
There is a planned outage during the work. We schedule it to keep disruption low and restore power the same day in most cases.
