The short version: we use what you send us to answer your request and give you an estimate. We don't sell it, we don't use ad trackers, and we don't keep your utility bill.
Who we are

What we collect
When you request an estimate or save your solar estimate, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone, email, job address or town, the kind of client you are, the services you need, your timeline, how you'd like to be contacted, and your message. If you save an estimate, we also keep that estimate: the system size and battery you chose, your estimated yearly usage, your address and your rate schedule. We also record which page you sent it from and your browser type, so we can spot problems with the form.
When you just browse, we don't use advertising cookies or trackers. We count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics service from our website host. It doesn't use cookies or identify you; it records things like which pages are viewed, the site that sent you, and general device and country information, so we can see how the site is used. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and to keep the site running. The site's fonts load from a third-party font service, so your browser connects to it to fetch them.
Estimator use. To keep the solar estimator available and prevent misuse, we record each time it's used: the time, the type of building, the number of meters and the electrical service you chose. We don't record your name, address or bill in this record. To count repeat use, we keep a one-way coded version of your internet address, never the address itself, and we erase it after 30 days. If you run many estimates in one day, we'll ask for your name, phone and email to keep going; those come to us like any other request.
Spam protection. Our forms and the bill upload use a spam-protection service that checks the request comes from a real person. It looks at technical details from your browser and connection, not what you type into the form.
Utility bill uploads
If you upload an electric bill to the estimator, the file is read once to pull out your monthly usage, service address and rate, and then it's discarded. We don't save the file, and no one at Maselli sees it unless you send it to us separately.
To read the bill, the file is sent to a third-party document-reading service that processes it for us under business terms that don't allow it to use your file to improve its own products. To size the system, the address you confirm is looked up with public address-search services, and the resulting map location is sent to a solar production data service. Those services get the address or location only, never your name or bill.
Nothing from the estimator is stored with us unless you choose Save my estimate or Book a site visit.
How we use it
- To answer your request, schedule a site visit and prepare a written estimate.
- To email you a confirmation of what you sent us.
- To keep a record of the job if you hire us.
We don't sell or rent your information, we don't add you to marketing lists, and we only contact you about the request you made.
Who helps us run the site
We use a small number of service providers to run this website: a website host, a secure database for the requests you send us, an email service for confirmations, the document-reading service that reads uploaded bills, and the address and solar data services described above. They handle your information only to provide those services to us.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold.
How long we keep it
We keep requests as long as we need them to work with you and keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us. Email info@masellielectricmaui.com or call (808) 269-0107, and we'll take care of it.
Everything else
Security. Information is sent over an encrypted connection, and our request database is only open to signed-in Maselli staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.
Children. This site is for property owners and businesses and isn't directed to children under 13.
Changes. If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
